Turn your LinkedIn export into a useful contact map.
See direct contacts by company, role, and connection date; spot clusters worth reviewing; and get an honest action queue. We show what your file supports without pretending one export reveals a true second ring.
Start with your LinkedIn connections.
LinkedIn usually provides the clearest combination of names, roles, companies, profile links, and connection dates. You request the file from LinkedIn; Second Ring never asks for your password.
- 1Request the larger archive
In LinkedIn, open Settings & Privacy → Data privacy → Get a copy of your data. Choose the larger archive that includes Connections.
Open LinkedIn's official instructions ↗ - 2Allow up to 24 hours
LinkedIn may need up to 24 hours to prepare the larger archive. It sends the download link to the email address already on your LinkedIn account. We do not collect that address.
What message should I look for?
Look for a LinkedIn message saying your data archive is ready to download. If it has not arrived after 24 hours, check spam and LinkedIn's download page before requesting a new archive. You do not need to create a Second Ring account first.
- 3Choose the ZIP—or Connections.csv if needed
If the ZIP is 25 MiB or smaller, choose it unchanged. If it is larger, extract it locally and choose only Connections.csv. The parser accepts only supported CSV/JSON data and applies strict size limits.
Trouble with the LinkedIn file?
If the ZIP exceeds 25 MiB, extract it locally and choose only Connections.csv. If that file is missing, confirm that the requested archive included Connections and download it again. If the file still fails, report the step, browser, and exact on-screen error after redacting personal details—never send the archive or a private normalized backup.
Before you choose a file: parsing happens locally in this tab. The raw archive is not sent to our API or saved in our database or object storage. The free normalized result stays in the current session; a one-time on-device handoff is created only if you later start sign-in or checkout.
